After proving to most of the Asian countries, Xiaomi today is not just “Apple of China” but of many other countries like Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia and India too. Xiaomi today has fans from all over the world and have enough confidence to fight the dominance of Apple and Samsung in the mobile phone market. With the recent funding of a Billion Dollars, the company today is estimated to a worth of over $46 Billion, and for a 4 year old company this is nothing less than epic.
Selling 100 Million phones covering a few Asian countries is no small deal. Sources reveal that the this time Xiaomi has plans to enter newer markets with the Xiaomi Mi 5 and Xiaomi Mi4s like US, UK, Germany, Turkey, Russia, Philippines, Thailand, Spain, Portugal, France, Greece, Czech Republic, Vietnam, Croatia, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka to name a few. Company has already started preparing for the launch. Hugo Burra (X Google VP) hiring has just made more clear that Xiaomi is all set to go bigger. Xiaomi has made it very clear that they don’t want to be a company restricted to Asians. The scale of their success can be judged by the sales they are doing in countries like India were none of their product stayed in stock for more than 5 seconds. Xiaomi launched Redmi Note 4G in India through Flipkart in December 2014 which went out of stock in 4 seconds just like Mi3 and launched Mi4 on February 10, 2015 which also went out of stock in 2 seconds. Xiaomi recently also launched their new flagship devices, Xiaomi Note 2 and Note Pro. These phones are believed to cover the markets where users are more interested in a bigger screen high end device.
Xiaomi have been working on the Xiaomi Mi 5 and Mi5 Plus even before the Mi4 launched. With the monstrous win of their Mi3 and Mi4 in the markets of China, Singapore, Malaysia, India and Philippines, Xiaomi is preparing hard not to loose their recently captured grounds in these counties. The company this time has plans to launch the Xiaomi Mi 5 and Mi 5 Plus worldwide and not through the exclusive rights partners but through offline stores as well. Success of Mi5 and Mi5 Plus will decide Xiaomi’s future in these other countries where market is yet dominated by the other technology giants such as Samsung, Apple, LG and Sony.
On 23 April, 2015 Xiaomi released another successor of the Mi4, its called Xiaomi Mi4i. Xiaomi marketed the launch of this phone saying “i Is Coming” which made fans go crazy on what is this ‘i’. Company launched Xiaomi Mi4i at a global event in Delhi, India. Company designed Xiaomi Mi4i keeping in mind the needs of Indian market. This phone equips a 13 MP camera with a few new feature that has come with Xiaomi Mi4i, like the Beautification Application. This app finishes your pictures and make them look more alive, like for an instance it can convert an image of a 40 year old man look like a 25 year old, impressive right ? Xiaomi Mi 4i comes with the latest MiUi 6 which has a better user feel and better battery optimization. Xiaomi Mi4i is launched for Rs 12,999 in India which is almost equivalent to $206. For a phone of this configuration this is really amazing.

Xiaomi Mi4s will be loaded with the latest Snapdragon 810 whereas the Xiaomi Mi 5 and Xiaomi Mi5 Plus will certainly be equipped with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 with 64 bit computing and 8 CPU cores (4 Cortex-A57 and 4 Cortex-A53 cores). This processor is designed for most advance mobile user experience, this includes streaming Ultra HD 4k videos, best quality photos along with great battery life.
Touch ID:
Xiaomi seem to be working on the Touch ID sensor for their Mi5. There were rumours that Xiaomi Mi4i would come with a Touch ID which were proved wrong when Xiaomi Mi4i was launched and now rumours of Xiaomi Mi4s are taking fire. But we believe that Mi5 would be their first device with the Touch ID and not the Xiaomi Mi4s. Another level of security feature that Xiaomi is working on is the Retina Sensor which would scan an eye retina in microseconds and unlock phone. This new piece of technology is not coming out very soon as this will need some really precise retina scan technology which is still in testing phase.
Water Resistant:
Get ready to take your Xiaomi Mi 5 and Mi 5 Plus out for a pool party or to a beach this time. With an IP rating of 67, Xiaomi is trying hard to make this phone to be one of the best Water Resistant phones in the market. Reports reveal that Xiaomi is working really hard to give this phone a feature which lacked in their previous devices. With phones like Sony Xperia Z series in the market, users are getting more used to the ease of water proof phones. Waterproof phone is a necessity nowadays as we use phone all time everywhere, its obviously not a bad idea to make the user feel as safe as possible about their device even while water is around. With Snapdragon 820 processor, the new Xiaomi Mi 5 phone might be loaded with a 2k Ultra HD Screen. 5 inch IPS LCD capacitive touch display, and the Xiaomi Mi5 Plus with a screen size of 5.6 inches with the same pixel density as that of the Xiaomi Mi5. We are not expecting a screen size update for Mi5 as a screen bigger than 5 inches might place the phone in the fablet category which Xiaomi would never want.
